Heartwarming Stories to read by the fire or on the beach.
I hadn't really thought much about marriage and children until a green-eyed Marine walked into my life. Remember that old song, "Just one look...that's all it took?" Well, that's what happened. My journey through life has encompassed many roles, including Senior Secretary of the Space Physics Lab, Marine Corps wife, Idaho farm wife, home school teacher, customer service rep, medical secretary, payroll coordinator, and FBI applicant. I made it through the testing, interviews and background check before deciding on another job, but used the experience in one of my books.
I started writing fiction while living in a 10' x 50' trailer with my husband and five sons as we built our house in WA state. I've published six novels, over sixty-five non-fiction articles, two poems. I'm retired from my full-time job in the field of child support.
"Writing makes me feel complete. It's a good thing I'm Missouri-born and stubborn as a mule, or I wouldn't have persevered. Good things do happen to those who don't know how to give up."
I owe a lot to my first critique group, Seannchae, which means "storyteller" in gaelic. Pam, Marilyn, Willo, Norma, Janice, Katie, Barthe, Irene, Bev, and our beloved Jo, all inspired and encouraged.
I hope my readers laugh a little, cry a little, and remember my stories.
